Job summary

Centrica plc is hiring an Independent Competent Person (ICP) under the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) to ensure independence from operations and to suspend unsafe pressure equipment when necessary.

You will lead the Risk-Based Assessment and integrity audits for Centrica’s onshore and offshore assets, working with the Asset Integrity Manager to maintain robust risk controls and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree level in Mechanical and/or Corrosion Engineering or relevant equivalent.
• Chartered with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers or relevant equivalent.
• API 510/570/579 experience or certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain independence as ICP under PSSR and approve suspension of unsafe pressure equipment.
• Support integrity management across onshore/offshore assets with Risk-Based Assessment (RBA).
• Lead or contribute to integrity audits and reporting within the Integrity Management System.
