Job summary

Sonovision Ltd is seeking a Senior Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer in Letchworth (Hybrid) with travel across the UK, Europe and North America. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with competitive DOE salary.

You will lead ILS/IPS programmes, provide technical leadership in LSA/LSAR, develop ISPs and SCRs, and mentor junior engineers while promoting innovation and through-life support solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Senior ILS/IPS experience within defence or aerospace.
• Strong understanding of ILS, LSA and through-life support methodologies.
• Experience delivering complex engineering programmes.
• Knowledge of DEF STAN 00-600, DEF STAN 00-60, S-Series, MIL-STD-1388-2B and AQAP standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to obtain SC Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver ILS/IPS programmes across air, land and maritime sectors.
• Develop Integrated Support Plans (ISPs), Supportability Case Reports (SCRs) and maintenance strategies.
• Produce and manage LSAR datasets and support analysis activities.
• Influence product design to improve availability, maintainability and lifecycle costs.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers including defence primes, OEMs and MOD stakeholders.
• Support bid activities, business growth initiatives and capability development.
• Ensure compliance with DEF STAN, S-Series, MIL-STD and AQAP requirements.
• Mentor and support junior engineers while promoting technical excellence.

We are looking for an experienced Senior ILS/IPS Engineer to join our growing team and lead the delivery of supportability engineering solutions across high-profile defence and aerospace projects.

This is a senior position offering the opportunity to work with major OEMs, defence primes and government organisations, influencing system design, through-life support strategies and next-generation maintenance solutions.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the UK Head of ILS, you will:

• Lead and deliver ILS/IPS programmes across air, land and maritime sectors
• Provide technical leadership in LSA, LSAR, LORA, FMECA, RAM and supportability engineering activities
• Develop Integrated Support Plans (ISPs), Supportability Case Reports (SCRs) and maintenance strategies
• Produce and manage LSAR datasets and support analysis activities
• Influence product design to improve availability, maintainability and lifecycle costs
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers including defence primes, OEMs and MOD stakeholders
• Support bid activities, business growth initiatives and capability development
• Ensure compliance with industry standards including DEF STAN, S-Series, MIL-STD and AQAP requirements
• Mentor and support junior engineers while promoting technical excellence and innovation
• Help drive modern support solutions including predictive maintenance, digital technologies and data-driven support models

About You

In order to be successful in this role it s essential that you have / are:

• Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent
• Proven experience in a senior ILS/IPS role within defence or aerospace
• Strong understanding of ILS, LSA and through-life support methodologies
• Experience delivering complex engineering programmes
• Knowledge of DEF STAN 00-600, DEF STAN 00-60, S-Series, MIL-STD-1388-2B and AQAP standards
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to obtain SC Security Clearance

It would be great if you had:

• Experience working with UK MOD or DE&S
• Knowledge of CSIS, TDOL and L1/L2/L3 support frameworks
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams
