Job description

At M&G, our purpose is to give everyone real confidence to put their money to work. We will consider flexible working arrangements for any of our roles and also offer workplace accommodations to ensure you have what you need to effectively deliver in your role.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to work in our Insurance reporting and data collection functions. This role is critical to enhancing our global reporting capabilities and will involve all aspects of data collection, regulatory alignment, and strategic reporting needs for our insurance clients. The position will work closely with our third-party partner and M&G teams to optimize our reporting systems and address evolving client and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Reporting and Data: Contribute towards the strategic direction for insurance reporting and data collection across all regions. Drive the evolution of our Clearwater Reporting system to fully leverage its capabilities and ensure smooth integration with M&G’s data. Maintain clear ownership of the reporting function to support client requests effectively and oversee the end-to-end reporting process for insurance clients.
  2. Reporting & Regulatory Change: Keep abreast of evolving insurance client reporting requirements, especially related to new regulatory standards such as ICS, as well as diverging UK and EU regulations, to ensure M&G is positioned to respond effectively. Adapt our reporting processes to accommodate new and evolving requirements, such as ESG and climate reporting. Integrate new regulatory data points, especially for clients in Asia and emerging markets.
  3. Client Data Requests: Partner with client-facing teams to understand and anticipate insurance clients’ data needs. Support client requests with timely and accurate data, ensuring comprehensive completion of templates. Establish robust processes to address client-specific data requirements, reducing ad-hoc data issues and ensuring consistency.
  4. Operational Efficiency and Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in data collection and reporting, focusing on mitigating issues and reducing turnaround times.
  5. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, particularly with Clearwater, to manage data dependencies effectively. Build and maintain strong relationships across departments to advocate for necessary data enhancements and align reporting priorities with business goals.
  6. Insurance Reporting and Vendor Management: Assist with oversight of Clearwater as an Insurance Reporting vendor, including TPT provision. Oversee vendor and process improvement initiatives. Understand client requirements and ensure alignment between client and M&G. Demonstrate expertise in insurance obligations related to reporting and calculations. Showcase Clearwater capabilities to clients.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. Experience in insurance reporting, data management, or related roles, with a background in process improvement.
  2. Knowledge of regulatory standards across UK, EU, and Asia, with a focus on insurance asset management reporting.
  3. Strong analytical skills and experience with data reporting tools, preferably Clearwater or similar platforms.
  4. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving aptitude, and process optimization experience.
