Job summary

Financeroles is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager SME in the UK to lead the administration of insurance accounts and contracts, ensuring accurate data, bookings, and claims handling while guiding underwriters in administrative processes.

You will manage the relationship with the outsourced provider, ensuring high-quality service delivery, governance, and continuous improvement across underwriting and accounting activities.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in re-/insurance accounting and underwriting assistance and/or controlling.
• Advanced MS Office skills (focus on MS Excel, Power Query)
• Power BI, Foundry, Business Objects skills beneficial
• Extensive knowledge of technical accounting, settlement process, business reporting or a subject matter expert in an active Line of Business.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the administration of insurance accounts and contracts from data setup to cash flow.
• Manage outsourced underwriting and operations provider performance and relationships.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements and drive efficiency.
• Act as liaison between internal teams, provider and senior stakeholders.
• Govern outsourced initiatives, timelines, quality benchmarks, and SLAs.
• Oversee ICS checks and support audits in underwriting, accounting, and claims.
