Job summary

Gallagher is seeking an experienced Account Director to join our East of England team, with hybrid work option from Ipswich or Chelmsford. You will manage client renewals, grow your portfolio, and build broker relationships while delivering exceptional service.

The role emphasizes credibility, leadership, and a proactive approach in a high‑performing retail insurance environment, with opportunities across our brokerage and risk-management teams.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as an Account Executive or Account Director.
• Dip CII/Cert CII qualification.
• Knowledge of general insurance products, London Market, Lloyd’s and the wider industry.
• Detail‑oriented with strong administrative skills.
• Passionate about delivering outstanding client service and building relationships.
• Proactive and driven with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eligible to work in the UK and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the renewal process for clients and secure the best outcomes.
• Maintain and grow your book of business by identifying new opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with brokers to access competitive terms.
• Visit clients as needed, showcasing interpersonal skills and service.
• Handle account queries and credit control matters, escalating when necessary.
