Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Instrument Engineer to provide engineering support for various client contracts. The ideal candidate will have extensive project delivery experience, knowledge of control system modifications, and a solid understanding of functional safety principles. Qualifications

Job description

Wood are looking to recruit for a Senior Instrument Engineer with extensive project delivery experience to support the Client contract as required.

Candidates should have experience working on UK North Sea brownfield projects, control system modifications and good understanding of functional safety principles & lifecycle management.

Description for Internal Candidates
  • Provide Instrument engineering support to the Client contract as required
  • Execute assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures, client and project standards
  • Originate and check instrument engineering deliverables as required on Client Contract within budget and schedule
  • Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports
  • Manage discipline CTR’s, provide input to estimates, proposals, plans and progress
  • Develop calculation packages as required
  • Perform site / client office visits if required
  • Present and describe engineering solutions and concept competently to both technical and non‑technical audience
  • Organise, plan and coordinate own work as well as the resources assigned on a specific project
  • Support quality & technical assurance activities as required
Qualifications

MSc, MEng or equivalent professional qualification or BSc, BEng or equivalent with some considerable experience or HNC / HND or equivalent with relevant considerable experience
