Job summary

Abacus Careers is seeking an Insolvency & Restructuring Senior Associate in Belfast for candidates with 5+ years’ PQE. The role combines high-value administrations, restructurings and contentious work in one seat.

You will act for creditors and office holders, lead matters, supervise junior lawyers and maintain visibility in a market-leading practice known for speed and decisive action.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ PQE in insolvency, restructuring or related banking litigation.
• NI qualification, or E&W/ROI qualification with a view to practising in NI.
• Experience acting for office holders, lenders or creditors.
• Confidence leading matters and supervising others.

Responsibilities

• Administrations, receiverships (including fixed charge) and liquidations.
• High-value restructurings, refinancings, schemes and voluntary arrangements.
• Security reviews, enforcement, retention of title and asset tracing.
• Contentious work: director disqualification, unwinding transactions and asset recovery claims.
