Abacus Careers is assisting a well‑established Belfast commercial firm to hire a Corporate & M&A Associate with 4+ PQE to join its busy team on corporate transactions locally and cross‑border.

You will handle acquisitions, disposals, governance advice, and multi‑disciplinary deals with colleagues in banking, real estate, employment, IP and competition.

The firm offers a senior seat on high‑value work and a supportive, technically strong environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years PQE in corporate/M&A within private practice.
• NI qualification or E&W/ROI qualification with NI practising.
• Confidence running transactions and managing client relationships.
• Sharp drafting and sound commercial judgement.

Responsibilities

• Acquisitions, disposals, investments and wider corporate transactions, locally and cross‑border.
• Acting for domestic and international companies, banks, private equity houses and venture capital investors.
• Corporate governance advice for clients at every stage of growth.
• Multi-disciplinary deals alongside banking, real estate, employment, IP and competition colleagues.

Education

4+ years PQE in corporate/M&A private practice

NI qualification or E&W/ROI qualification for NI practice
