Job summary

LINDAL Group Careers is seeking an experienced Moulding Technician to independently set up, operate, and optimize injection moulding operations on a busy shop floor. You will act as a senior technical expert, ensuring stable processes and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

You will train and support Mold Technicians I & II and operators, collaborating with shift supervisors and process engineers to deliver high quality parts and efficient production at Leighton Buzzard.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of Injection Moulding and mould maintenance.
• Experience in setup, process control and validation of molding processes.
• Strong understanding of statistical process control principles.
• Proven track record in continuous improvement and CAPA.
• Attention to data quality and process documentation.
• Ability to train and mentor junior technicians.
• Familiarity with auxiliary equipment and color changes.

Responsibilities

• Set up, change over, and operate injection‑molding machines to meet specs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot process, machine, and secondary equipment issues.
• Perform mold setups including large molds and water‑circuit configurations.
• Monitor product quality and take corrective actions for deviations.
• Carry out preventive maintenance of molds and support stable processes.
• Train Mold Technicians I & II and machine operators on setup and QC.
• Collaborate with shift supervisors and process engineers on improvements.
