Job summary

DXC Technology is seeking an Infrastructure Platform Engineer to lead architecture and delivery of enterprise-grade infrastructure for defence and aerospace operations. The role is based in Farnborough on-site and requires security clearances aligned to UK requirements.

You will drive cloud adoption, design resilient platforms, mentor technical teams and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliant, cost-efficient operations. Strong governance and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

Extensive IT infrastructure experience in architecture roles.
Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-scale infrastructure platforms.
Strong background in cloud architecture and hybrid infrastructure models.
Demonstrated leadership in infrastructure modernisation programmes.
Experience in defence, aerospace or government IT environments.

Responsibilities

Design and define enterprise infrastructure architectures spanning compute, storage, networking and virtualisation platforms.
Develop cloud strategy and hybrid infrastructure roadmaps aligned with requirements and defence security standards.
Establish infrastructure design patterns, standards and best practices across the organisation.
Lead capacity planning, scalability assessments and infrastructure optimisation initiatives.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies based on business and security requirements.
