Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to join our Infrastructure Planning team to support town planning and consenting inputs on major and nationally significant projects. You will work in multi-disciplinary teams to secure consent under the Town and Country Planning Act, Planning Act 2008, and related legislation.

We value a degree in town planning, RTPI membership, and a track record of leading complex infrastructure consents, advising clients, and contributing to winning work.

Qualifications

• Degree in town planning (or equivalent) and RTPI membership or eligibility.
• Experience leading Town & Country Planning Act applications for UK infrastructure.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams to secure consents.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of Town & Country Planning Act applications for infrastructure projects across the UK.
• Support and lead on consenting inputs for major projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs).
• Provide sound technical advice to clients and manage their consenting requirements.
• Collaborate with statutory bodies and stakeholders to deliver projects.
• Lead cross-disciplinary teams and provide technical oversight.
