Job summary

ZEISS Group in the United Kingdom and Ireland is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead delivery and operations of core infrastructure services. You will act as a trusted advisor to IT and business stakeholders, ensuring high availability and security across critical platforms.

You will mentor colleagues, oversee data centre operations, and drive resilience through governance and incident management while shaping infrastructure strategy for ZEISS Ltd.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical lead for infrastructure and workplace technologies, guiding delivery and operations.
• Manage enterprise infrastructure platforms with high availability for UK & Ireland.
• Monitor performance, capacity and availability and drive reliability improvements.
• Provide senior escalation support for incidents and problems to minimise disruption.
• Ensure services operate within governance, cybersecurity and compliance frameworks.
• Mentor engineers, develop team capability and support succession planning.
• Oversee data centre and critical facilities operations to ensure reliable services.
