Job summary

DXC Technology in Luton is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and improve a secure enterprise environment. You will balance BAU support with project work across Citrix, VMware, Windows Server and backup technologies, ensuring reliability and ongoing capability upgrades.

The role requires hands-on expertise, strong problem-solving, and collaboration across infrastructure teams. Applicants should be located within a workable commute of Luton and be eligible for UK security

Qualifications

Extensive experience supporting enterprise Windows Server infrastructure.
Experience administering virtual desktop environments (Citrix/VMware).
Familiar with backup and recovery tools such as Veritas NetBackup/Cohesity.
Knowledge of patching, upgrades and lifecycle maintenance.
Understanding of ITIL change management principles.

Responsibilities

Provide BAU support and project delivery for a secure enterprise infrastructure.
Maintain and upgrade Windows Server, Citrix and VMware environments.
Manage backup/recovery solutions and patching activities.
Support licensing, printing services and network switch configurations.
Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement improvements.
Work within change control processes and collaborate with teams.
