Job summary

HM Revenue & Customs is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Database Specialist) to design, deliver and support Oracle-based database solutions. You will ensure best practices, guide teams, and maintain high availability across cloud and on‑prem environments.

You will manage provisioning, security, backups and migrations with a focus on Oracle technology, Grid Infrastructure, RMAN and Data Guard, while also handling performance tuning and SQL optimisation in Linux and DevOps contexts.

Qualifications

• Experience in large, enterprise-class environments with Oracle databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure and maintain critical database platforms in cloud and on-premise environments.
• Provide database management, support and performance tuning across multiple lifecycle environments.
