Job summary

CGI Group Inc. in the United Kingdom seeks an Infrastructure Engineer to provide the technical support across incident, problem and change management in production and non-production environments. You will admin Windows systems, patching, configuration mgmt., and support Citrix and VMware platforms.

You will monitor health with SCOM, collaborate with adjacent teams, and perform root cause analysis to resolve complex issues, with prior Defence environment exposure highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in 2nd/3rd line engineering roles within secure Defence environments.
• Hands on Windows Server administration with patching and config management.
• Familiar with VMWare, Citrix, SCOM and MECM in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support across incident, problem and change management.
• Administer Windows based systems, including patching and configuration management.
• Support Citrix and virtualised platforms such as VMWare vSphere and vRealize Automation.
• Monitor system health using SCOM and other enterprise monitoring tools.
• Collaborate with adjacent teams to deliver reliable, resilient and secure services.
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve complex platform issues.
