Job summary

CGI Group Inc. seeks an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to design, build and manage secure, high-performing environments for defence and intelligence programs.

You will own virtualised, cloud and software-defined platforms with a strong emphasis on security and reliability. Based at CGI Chippenham, the role requires UK Security Clearance or eligibility, and involves working five days a week in a secure office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Defence or secure environments.
• Hands-on experience with VMware technologies (including Cloud Foundation, VxRail).
• Experience designing or supporting cross-domain solutions.
• Understanding infrastructure lifecycle management and best practices.
• Experience implementing and managing SSO solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure and manage secure, high-performing infrastructure across virtualised and cloud platforms.
• Deploy and optimise VMware, VxRail and NSX-based solutions.
• Operate day-to-day infrastructure with focus on reliability and security.
• Architect secure cross-domain solutions aligned to standards.
• Provide 2nd/3rd line support and resolve complex issues.
• Collaborate with architecture, security and delivery teams to improve platforms.
• Identify opportunities to automate and modernise infrastructure services.
