Job summary

Razorblue Group is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Consulting to join our growing team. You will deliver real-world projects across on-prem and cloud environments, plan and handover to service delivery, and work with a supportive team to implement new technologies.

A strong customer-focus and clear communication are essential as you mentor juniors and drive successful outcomes. Hybrid working is offered after probation, with a balanced split between office and home.

Qualifications

• CCNA, JNCP, MCSA, VCP or equivalent networking/infrastructure certs.
• Microsoft 365/Azure administration including Conditional Access, Azure AD Connect, Exchange Online/Hybrid, SharePoint, Teams, Intune/Endpoint Manage.
• Cloud experience with AWS and Azure.
• VMware vSphere and Hyper-V virtualization, including replication and failover.
• VOIP systems support experience (FreePBX, Mitel, Gamma, Skype/Teams).
• Security: MDM, MFA, Email Filtering, Next-Generation firewalls, antivirus solutions.
• Windows Server installation/configuration.
• SAN storage upkeep, iSCSI, clustering troubleshooting.
• RDS/RemoteApp and Citrix environments (on-prem and cloud).
• Networking troubleshooting across 3rd line; Palo Alto, Sophos, FortiNet, Draytek, Juniper, Cisco firewalls.
• Windows desktop/application/mobile device support.
• Strong communication, documentation, self-driven learning; valid UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver implementation projects for clients and ensure successful outcomes.
• Create high-quality documentation for projects and handovers to service delivery.
• Lead project scoping, planning and training activities for teams.

We are looking for an Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Consulting to join our growing team of like-minded tech people. Should you choose to accept, your responsibilities will encompass delivering real-world solutions that make a difference for our clients. You’ll get involved in everything from project planning through to delivery and handover, all while working alongside a supportive and knowledgeable team.

Typical projects include a mix of on-premise and cloud work, so no two days are the same. You might be configuring new cloud services, migrating Microsoft 365 environments, deploying or upgrading virtual servers, installing and securing firewalls, setting up VPNs, or implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions. There’s plenty of variety, and you’ll often be hands‑on with new technologies, helping clients modernise their systems and improve reliability, performance, and security.

Project Delivery (80%)

• Delivering implementation projects to our customers.
• Creating excellent documentation.
• Project handovers to service delivery.

Project Scoping \ Planning \ Training (20%)

• Internal training supporting staff members in their development
• Scoping and Planning successful projects
• Mentoring junior team members.
