Job summary

Arcus Search is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance a large-scale Windows infrastructure in London. This hands-on role covers Windows Server, Active Directory, and core services, alongside VMware vSphere and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, with a key migration project to Teams.

You will contribute to upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management while working with cross‑functional teams to ensure a secure, scalable platform in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve a large enterprise Windows Server environment.
• Manage Active Directory and core infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
• Administer VMware vSphere infrastructure.
• Manage Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, including VDA and PVS.
• Support Microsoft 365 services, with a focus on Teams.
• Lead migration activities from Webex to Teams for telephony and video conferencing.
• Deliver infrastructure upgrades, patching and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking and security teams to maintain a stable platform.

Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Windows - London - Contract

We're working with a leading research and technology firm looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support and enhance a large-scale Windows infrastructure supporting critical business platforms. This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on Windows infrastructure, VMware and Citrix, with a key project around migrating enterprise telephony and video conferencing from Webex to Microsoft Teams.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting and improving a large enterprise Windows Server environment
• Managing Active Directory and core infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
• Administering VMware vSphere infrastructure
• Managing Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, including VDA and Provisioning Services (PVS)
• Supporting Microsoft 365 services, with a particular focus on Microsoft Teams
• Playing a key role in the migration from Webex to Microsoft Teams for telephony and video conferencing
• Delivering infrastructure upgrades, patching and lifecycle management
• Working closely with infrastructure, networking and security teams to maintain a stable, secure platform
