Sanderson is seeking an experienced VMware Engineer with NSX expertise to own and resolve complex infrastructure challenges across a large enterprise environment.

You’ll provide senior technical guidance, improve platform resilience, and mentor other engineers while supporting a hybrid working setup.

Formación

• Strong commercial experience supporting VMware NSX T or NSX 4.x in production.
• Good understanding of VMware networking, including distributed firewalls, routing and microsegmentation.
• Solid experience with VMware vSphere and enterprise virtualization environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across complex infrastructure platforms.
• Experience supporting business critical environments where stability, availability and security are essential.

Responsabilidades

• Supporting and managing VMware NSX T and NSX 4.x environments.
• Troubleshooting complex virtual networking issues across routing, connectivity, security and performance.
• Working with Tier 0 and Tier 1 gateways, BGP, edge clusters and distributed firewalls.
• Supporting microsegmentation and network security policies.
• Maintaining and improving VMware infrastructure across vSphere, vSAN and related technologies.
• Supporting backup, disaster recovery and business continuity activities.
• Acting as a senior technical escalation point and mentoring other engineers.
• Contributing to infrastructure upgrades, improvements and wider technical projects.

Are you an experienced VMware Engineer with strong NSX expertise who enjoys taking ownership of complex infrastructure environments?

We're working with an established technology services business looking for a senior engineer to join its infrastructure team, supporting a large enterprise customer operating across a complex, business critical environment.

This is a hands on technical role where you'll be trusted to resolve challenging infrastructure issues, improve platform performance and resilience, and provide technical guidance to other engineers.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting and managing VMware NSX T and NSX 4.x environments.
• Troubleshooting complex virtual networking issues across routing, connectivity, security and performance.
• Working with Tier 0 and Tier 1 gateways, BGP, edge clusters and distributed firewalls.

What we're looking for

• Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, vSAN, enterprise storage, backup and disaster recovery would be advantageous.

What's on offer?

• Salary between £80,000 and £85,000.
