Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Senior or Principal Infrastructure Drainage Engineer to join our transport and infrastructure team in Manchester. You will work with a national team to deliver drainage designs, liaise with clients, supervise junior staff and drive projects from briefing to completion.

The role requires significant drainage design experience, proficiency with Microdrainage, Causeway Flow and AutoCAD, and a strong understanding of highway standards, CDM responsibilities and project

Qualifications

• Significant experience in drainage design and management of projects to time, cost and quality.
• Excellent working knowledge of software such as Microdrainage, Causeway Flow, AutoCAD.
• Proven experience in drainage design, construction, and supervision.
• Detailed knowledge of highway design standards, construction practices, asset management, and relevant legislation.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of Health and Safety including CDM responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement project requirements to fully meet the client specification in accordance with relevant standards.
• Collate project information, liaise and engage with clients and third parties as required.
• Supervise site-based projects as required.
• Lead project delivery & supervise and delegate to more junior members of staff and others as required.
• Check / approve own and other staff work, including third party design proposals.
• Integrate successfully into an established team and drive the team culture.
