Job summary

East West Railway Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead design and construction delivery for the Bedford to Cambridge railway section. The role focuses on driving multi-disciplinary project activities with engineers, environmental specialists and delivery partners to realise programme milestones.

You will manage scope, schedule and budget, coordinate stakeholders, and support contractor procurement, reporting to senior leaders with clear governance and assurance.

Qualifications

• Strong project management experience across scope, schedule and budget.
• Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
• Experience planning and managing construction activities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Collaborative approach with sound commercial judgement.

Responsibilities

• Drive successful delivery across scope, schedule and budget to milestones.
• Lead planning and delivery of major infrastructure projects from design to construction.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure integration across the programme.
• Support construction planning activities and contractor procurement.
• Manage interfaces, risks, opportunities and dependencies in a complex stakeholder landscape.
• Work with engineering, environmental, commercial and delivery teams to inform decisions.
• Provide reporting, governance and project assurance to senior leaders.
• Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, regulators and external stakeholders.
