Job summary

Thinkit Resources is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing MSP team in the UK. You will provide day-to-day support for cloud systems and security, including firewall questions and SharePoint-based reporting.

You will create deployment scripts, monitor cloud infrastructure, and stay current with new product rollouts and pricing changes. You will manage client relationships and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience managing MSP clients and projects.
• Strong knowledge of FortiGate firewalls.
• Experience with Office 365 and SharePoint setup.

Responsibilities

• Create scripts to improve cloud deployment and reporting, mainly in SharePoint.
• Be the dedicated support point for detailed firewall questions.
• Test and rollout updates to firewalls and routers.
• Handle management tasks associated with running a busy MSP and communicate solutions to clients.

Job description

My client is currently looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to come on board on a permanent basis and join there growing team

The role will be to provide day to day support of all our clients’ cloud systems and security.

Operations

• Create scripts to improve cloud deployment and reporting mainly in SharePoint.
• Be a dedicated support point for detailed firewall questions.
• Ensure good working knowledge of cloud infrastructure and monitoring tools across the team.
• Update Security and Network information to accurately account for changes in infrastructure
• Test and rollout updates to firewalls and routers.

Project Management or Client Management

• Deal with the management tasks associated with running a busy MSP.
• Have delivered projects on time and budget or have been the dedicated point of contact for multiple clients and able to explain to clients the best solution for them.
• Keep up to date with new product roll outs and pricing changes and ensure we capture the changes in our client billing.
• Understand costs of solutions and engineering time.

Essential Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of a leading firewall vendor (FortiGate ideal)
• Expert knowledge of hardware troubleshooting Windows environments.
• O365 conditional access and share point setup.
