Job summary

BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a 12-month contract in the UK. The role focuses on developing and supporting Infrastructure as Code solutions, automating infrastructure deployments, and ensuring security, scalability, and reliability of systems.

Candidates should have 5+ years in infrastructure engineering, strong IaC skills (Ansible), and experience with Windows, Linux, networking, virtualization, and relevant security practices in a defence environment.

Qualifications

5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience.
Strong Infrastructure as Code and automation experience (Ansible).
Good understanding of infrastructure security and best practices.
Experience with Windows, Linux, networking, virtualisation or firewall technologies.
Degree in a STEM subject or equivalent experience.
Defence or aerospace industry experience.
Experience with VMware, Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto or Red Hat technologies.
Relevant technical certifications.

Responsibilities

Ensure systems remain secure, scalable, and reliable.
