Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join the Synthetic Training and Engineering Products team in Warton, Lancashire. The role is a 12-month, full-time, on-site contract focusing on Infrastructure as Code, automation and secure delivery of synthetic training device infrastructure.

You'll design, build and maintain IaC patterns, use Ansible in secure environments, and work with security engineers to ensure compliance with ITAR and UK Eyes Only constraints while

Qualifications

• Strong infrastructure engineering background with IaC and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and best-practice infrastructure design.
• Practical security mindset with compliance and secure-by-design principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
• Eligibility to obtain BPSS + SC (plus ITAR/UK Eyes Only constraints).

Responsibilities

• Designing, building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code to automate deployment, configuration and management
• Using automation tooling (Ansible) in secure / air-gapped environments
• Producing scalable, resilient and secure infrastructure patterns
• Monitoring performance and driving continuous improvement aligned to a release roadmap
• Working with security specialists to ensure compliance with security controls
• Collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering teams
