Job summary

BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for a 12-month contract in the UK. The role focuses on developing and supporting Infrastructure as Code solutions, automating infrastructure deployments, and ensuring security, scalability, and reliability of systems.

Candidates should have 5+ years in infrastructure engineering, strong IaC skills (Ansible), and experience with Windows, Linux, networking, virtualization, and relevant security practices in a defence environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code and automation experience (Ansible).
• Good understanding of infrastructure security and best practices.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, networking, virtualisation or firewall technologies.
• Degree in a STEM subject or equivalent experience.
• Defence or aerospace industry experience.
• Experience with VMware, Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto or Red Hat technologies.
• Relevant technical certifications.

Working within the Synthetic Training & Engineering Products team, you will be responsible for developing and supporting Infrastructure as Code solutions, automating infrastructure deployments, and ensuring systems remain secure, scalable, and reliable.

Key Requirements

• 5+ years' infrastructure engineering experience
