Our client in Randburg, Gauteng seeks a highly experienced Senior Information Security Officer to lead and mature the information security program. You will implement controls, manage risk, and drive incident response while embedding security awareness across the organization.

The role requires 6+ years in information security, strong leadership, and familiarity with ISO 27001/NIST/PCI DSS. On-site work in Randburg with opportunities for professional development and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive information security experience, focused on operational security and risk management.
• Proven experience developing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
• In-depth knowledge of network security, endpoint security, and data protection.
• Experience with security incident management and response.
• Familiarity with security frameworks like ISO 27001, NIST, and PCI DSS.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Leadership qualities and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly preferred.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site in Randburg, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage information security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the information security function.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate security controls.
• Manage and coordinate incident response activities, including investigation and remediation.

• Act as a key point of contact for security-related matters within the organization.
