Placements24 is seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer to design, implement, and oversee security infrastructure in a remote-first team. You will tackle complex challenges and drive security innovation across the enterprise.

The role requires 7+ years in information security, strong cloud and network security expertise, IAM, SIEM, and leadership to influence technical decisions. You will collaborate with global teams, govern security controls, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in information security engineering and architecture.
• Deep expertise in network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and endpoint security.
• Proven experience with security automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and deployment of advanced security solutions across the enterprise.
• Develop and maintain secure network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.
• Implement and manage robust identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
• Oversee the configuration and operation of security monitoring tools, including SIEM and threat detection platforms.
• Conduct in-depth security reviews of new systems and applications, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Respond to and manage critical security incidents, providing expert technical leadership during investigations.
