Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer for a fully remote role to architect, implement, and manage advanced security solutions across cloud and on-prem environments.

You will lead deployment of security tools, perform threat modeling, run vulnerability assessments, and automate security processes while mentoring junior engineers. This position offers a competitive salary, flexible hours, and opportunities to influence security posture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in cybersecurity engineering and architecture.
• Strong cloud security and container security experience.
• Automation scripting proficiency in Python or PowerShell.
• Solid knowledge of network security, cryptography and secure coding.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement robust security solutions across on-prem and cloud.
• Lead deployment and integration of security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAFs, EDR).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat modeling.
• Develop and automate security processes and controls for efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to embed security in SDLC.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
