Job summary

SECamb is seeking an experienced Information Governance Manager to support the delivery of the Trust's Information Governance framework, providing specialist guidance on data protection, confidentiality and information security. The role involves working across the organisation to promote compliance and to support governance, risk management and improvement initiatives.

You will engage with a wide range of stakeholders, deliver training, contribute to policy development and ensure information

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Information Governance, Data Protection or Information Security.
• Experience of investigating incidents and managing compliance issues.
• Experience of developing policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Expert knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act and Confidentiality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert information governance advice across the Trust.
• Support compliance with Data Protection legislation and NHS IG standards.
• Lead on investigation of information governance incidents and breaches.
• Support development and review of IG policies, procedures and guidance.
• Deliver IG training and awareness programmes.
• Undertake audits and assurance activities to assess compliance.
• Manage Data Subject Access Requests and other information requests.
• Support reporting for governance groups and national IG requirements.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational and corporate services on IG advice.
