Placements24 is seeking a Senior Industrial Production Manager to oversee and optimize production operations in Randburg, Gauteng. This role drives lean transformation, sets production schedules, and leads a large workforce to meet targets while maintaining safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has a strong industrial engineering/operations background, proven leadership, and a track record of productivity improvements and cost control in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years' progressive experience in production management in industrial manufacturing.
• Experience leading large teams and implementing lean/Six Sigma.
• Strong production planning, scheduling and inventory control knowledge.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills; safety and quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily production activities to meet targets efficiently and safely.

About the Role

Our client, a leading industrial firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Industrial Production Manager to oversee and optimize their production operations in Randburg, Gauteng. This leadership role is responsible for managing all aspects of the production floor, ensuring the efficient and safe manufacturing of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial engineering, a proven track record in production management, and the ability to lead and motivate a large workforce. You will be instrumental in driving productivity improvements, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and ensuring that production targets are met consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily production activities to ensure targets are met efficiently and safely.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in production management within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in leading and managing large teams.
• In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
• Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using production management software and ERP systems.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Randburg, Gauteng.
