Job summary

ICE Data Indices (IDI) in London seeks a senior index developer to design and implement equity and commodity indices, working closely with clients, sales, and development teams. You will translate investment objectives into methodologies, oversee implementation, and perform rigorous quantitative analysis using Python.

The role requires strong programming, data analytics, and deep knowledge of market-cap weighting, factor-based strategies, ESG, and commodity index construction.

Qualifications

• Strong Python proficiency for quantitative analysis and back-testing.
• Advanced Excel; SQL familiarity a plus.
• Understanding of equity index construction methods and commodities.
• Excellent client-facing communication and project management.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients and partners to identify index opportunities and present concepts.
• Design and implement equity and commodity indices including ESG and thematic approaches.
• Perform rigorous quantitative analysis, back-testing, and risk/return assessment in Python.
• Collaborate with sales, product, and tech teams to deliver scalable index solutions.
