Job description

Are you an experienced recruitment professional ready to take the next step in your career? Or perhaps you're already operating at a senior level and looking for an opportunity where you can influence strategy, lead a team, and help shape the future workforce of one of the county's largest employers?

We're excited to be recruiting for a Senior Resourcing Advisor following the promotion of the current postholder, a reflection of the development opportunities available within our Resourcing Team.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing and forward-thinking team at the heart of the Council's workforce strategy. Reporting to the Resourcing Manager, you'll lead recruitment activity across a portfolio of service areas, providing expert advice to hiring managers and senior stakeholders.

You'll also line manage a small team, helping to develop and support colleagues while ensuring an excellent experience for both candidates and hiring managers. From difficult-to-fill vacancies and talent pooling to assessment centres, employer branding and workforce planning, no two days are the same.

Key Areas of Expertise

We're looking for someone ideally with demonstrable expertise in Right to Work legislation, Skilled Worker Visas and employer sponsorship requirements. This is a critical area of knowledge that will enable you to provide expert guidance to managers, protect organisational compliance, and support the council in accessing the talent it needs to deliver services.

You'll be confident interpreting legislation, advising on sponsorship processes, identifying risks, and helping managers navigate often complex immigration and recruitment requirements.

Demonstrable knowledge of recruitment technology, with experience of configuring, developing and enhancing recruitment systems to deliver efficient, compliant and candidate-focused recruitment processes. Skilled in using management information, reporting and analytics to drive continuous improvement, increase recruitment effectiveness and support workforce planning. Confident in leading on system implementation, testing, user adoption and stakeholder engagement across complex recruitment environments.

What You'll Bring

In addition we're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Significant recruitment experience within an in-house or agency environment.
  • Experience of managing and developing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law relating to recruitment.
  • The ability to influence and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Project Management skills
Why Join Us?

This is more than a recruitment role. It’s an opportunity to help shape how Lincolnshire County Council attracts, develops and retains talent. You'll work on strategic projects, influence policy and process improvements, and contribute to innovative approaches to recruitment and workforce planning.

Most importantly, you'll join a supportive team that values collaboration, development and continuous improvement, with genuine opportunities to grow your career, just as the current postholder has done.
