Job summary

Syneos Health, Inc. is seeking a Senior Implementation Manager for London to lead end-to-end R&D advisory implementation projects.

You will coach consulting staff, manage client relationships, and ensure high-quality deliverables while driving strategic initiatives and business development. The role requires deep experience in management consulting within life sciences, familiarity with GxP environments, and the ability to influence across project teams and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience as a senior people manager overseeing end-to-end implementation projects in life sciences.
• Proven ability to lead consulting staff, manage client relationships and drive project delivery.
• Experience with GxP system implementation and validation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of implementation projects for customers within the R&D Advisory Group.
• Coach and supervise consulting staff, ensuring quality deliverables and timely completion.
• Support business development by writing and pricing proposals and participating in pitches.
• Maintain program leadership communication on status, risks, and opportunities.
• Achieve billable utilization targets and manage a book of business.

In this role, you will serve as an experienced people manager and workstream lead within the R&D Advisory Group overseeing end-to-end management of the implementation process and key deliverables for customers. As a member of the management team, you will ensure a superior client experience while coaching and supervising the work of consulting staff team members. Leading by example, you will exhibit decision quality, action orientation, and resourcefulness as the primary steward of technical system implementation projects. This is an opportunity to:

• Lead the creation of system implementation project deliverables by quality checking work, setting expectations with the project team, delivering edits and feedback to team members, and driving deliverable completion from start to finish
• Recommend creative ideas based on data analysis, personal experience, and industry best practices
• Anticipate and support customer needs, concerns, and challenges through the design of alternatives and contingency plans
• Proactively communicate to keep program leadership informed of activities, team dynamics, project status, scope changes, potential risks, and business development opportunities
• Provide career advising to implementation staff team members by gathering project performance feedback, conducting performance reviews, and contributing meaningful feedback to internal promotion calibration sessions
• Participate in the BD process by writing and pricing proposals, and actively participate in the pitch
• Achieve billable utilisation targets and managed book of business in service to customer engagements
• Proven expertise in management consulting in the life sciences, pharmaceutical/biotech consulting industry or equivalent industry role
• Experience working with one or more R&D operational roles (clinical operations, regulatory, safety or similar discipline) either in industry or consulting
• GxP System Implementation and Validation experience

Desired Requirements:

• Experience supporting implementations of cloud-based enterprise software such as Veeva Vault, Oracle, Medidata or OpenText
