Job summary

South Wales Police is seeking an ICT Infrastructure Manager to lead a large team in designing, implementing and maintaining the force's technical infrastructure. You will manage on‑premise and cloud services, scope architectural designs and ensure secure, reliable day-to-day operations for critical systems used by emergency services and partners.

The role is based at the Police Headquarters in Bridgend, Wales, and offers a full-time, permanent contract with 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or ICT qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading a technical team and driving infrastructure changes.
• Strong knowledge of on-premise and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day infrastructure operations including servers, network, security and cloud services.
• Lead infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations and system implementations.
• Develop and maintain security protocols and procedures for infrastructure systems.
• Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Provide technical guidance to the infrastructure team and other ICT teams.
• Execute the strategic vision for our infrastructure, ensuring security, reliability and efficiency.
• Provide specialist advice on complex technical issues.

Education

Bachelor's degree in ICT related subject
