Job summary

South Wales Police Headquarters in Bridgend seeks an ICT Infrastructure Manager to lead a large team of specialists. The role designs, builds and maintains our infrastructure across on‑premise and cloud services, ensuring security, resilience and efficiency.

You will steer projects, define architectural standards and manage daily operations to support thousands of users and scattered data centres. The ideal candidate has substantial ICT leadership experience, a degree or equivalent, and a proven

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an ICT-related subject or an ICT-related qualification, or demonstrable equivalent skills.
• Proven experience of leading a team of technical specialists and implementing infrastructure changes.
• Experience with on-premise and cloud infrastructure, system integration and security.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day infrastructure operations including servers, networks, security and cloud services.
• Lead infrastructure projects such as upgrades, migrations and new system implementations.
• Develop and maintain security protocols for infrastructure systems.
• Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Provide technical guidance to the infrastructure team and other ICT groups.
• Deliver strategic vision for secure, reliable and efficient infrastructure.
