South Wales Police is seeking an ICT Infrastructure Manager at the Headquarters in Bridgend to lead a large team of specialists. You will design, develop and maintain the organisation’s technical infrastructure, spanning on-premise and cloud services, while ensuring secure, reliable and efficient operations and lifecycle management of configurations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or ICT qualification or equivalent experience, strong leadership, and extensive experience in infrastructure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or ICT qualification or equivalent experience required.
• Proven experience leading a team of technical specialists.
• Experience of managing day-to-day ICT operations and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day infrastructure operations including servers, network, security and cloud services.
• Lead infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations and system implementations.
• Develop and maintain security protocols and procedures for infrastructure systems.
• Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Provide technical guidance to the infrastructure team and ICT.
• Executing the strategic vision for our infrastructure, ensuring that it is secure, reliable and efficient.
• To provide specialist advice and guidance on a range of complex and/or escalated technical issues.
