Senior ICT Engineer

Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior ICT design and project management professional to lead infrastructure projects from bid to installation. The role includes mentoring junior staff, coordinating with contractors and internal teams, and supporting bid responses for PQQ and ITT.

You will work on copper and fibre infrastructure standards, OSP/ISP design, and data centre design within established ICT guidelines. A strong Engineering background and industry certifications are essential.

Qualifications

• ICT design and project management experience is required.
• Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications; Cisco qualifications, APMP, NVQs, HNC/HND or Modern Apprenticeship preferred.
• Working towards or having attained CEng status is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop less experienced Technicians/Engineers.
• Participate in full design lifecycle from bid work to installation.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Support bid work and prepare responses to PQQ and ITT.

• Working on projects involving ICT passive infrastructure and building systems
• Full design lifecycle participation from bid work to installation
• Mentoring and developing less experienced Technicians/Engineers
• Liaising with contractors, suppliers and internal teams
• Supporting bid work and preparing responses to PQQ and ITT

Requirements

• ICT design and project management experience
• Engineering degree, Cisco qualifications, APMP, NVQs, HNC or HND, or Modern Apprenticeship

• Knowledge of Copper and fibre infrastructure systems and standards
• Data Centre design and standards
• OSP & ISP design and standards
