Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Building Technology Systems design engineer to shape IT networks within buildings and collaborate with multiple design disciplines. You will liaise with clients to understand requirements and apply the latest network designs to real-world applications.

The role focuses on detailed BTS designs, feasibility studies, and producing equipment schedules, with opportunities for career growth and Chartership. A hybrid working model across UK offices is available.

Qualifications

• Accredited honours degree in engineering or IT relevant to building services.
• Knowledge of BTS disciplines and IT/communications infrastructure.
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK with potential security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design IT networks within buildings in collaboration with other design disciplines.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to capture requirements.
• Implement leading-edge network designs into real-world projects.
• Produce detailed BTS designs, equipment schedules, and performance specs.
• Support feasibility studies and discipline lead on smaller projects.
