Placements24 in Randburg, SA is seeking a Senior Facilities Hygiene Officer to lead hygiene and sanitation across a portfolio of commercial properties. The role combines on-site inspections with remote planning and reporting, supporting health and safety across multiple sites.

You will develop strategic plans, oversee cleaning operations and audits, mentor staff, manage budgets, and liaise with regulators and contractors to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Facility Management, or related field.
• 8+ years progressive facilities management experience.
• Proven track record in large-scale hygiene programs.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations for commercial properties.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute strategic hygiene plans for a portfolio of commercial properties.
• Oversee cleaning operations, including staff, budgets, and performance metrics.
• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure hygiene standards and regulatory compliance.
• Implement pest control and waste management strategies.
• Deliver training for cleaning staff and facility management teams on hygiene and safety.
• Stay current with legislation, industry trends, and emerging technologies in sanitation and public health.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, contractors and service providers as needed.
• Investigate and address hygiene-related incidents or complaints effectively.
• Prepare detailed reports for senior management on hygiene performance, risks, and improvement initiatives.
• Foster a culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility across sites.
