Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Principal Hydrologist to join our dynamic Water Team, based in the UK or Ireland. You will lead impactful hydrology projects and contribute to flood management and environmental strategies.

This senior role requires a strong technical background, client engagement, and leadership within a multidisciplinary team. Access to training and a competitive salary included. Flexible hybrid working model offered.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering hydrological assessments within consultancy or regulatory environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK hydrological guidance such as FEH methods.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydrological assessments for flood risk and infrastructure designs.
• Provide technical direction on rainfall-runoff modelling.
• Advise clients on flood risk policy and environmental permitting requirements.
