Job summary

SLR Consulting Ltd. is seeking an experienced Hydrogeologist / Mine Water Consultant to support mining projects across the UK and internationally.

You will join an established team, mentoring early-career professionals and contributing to a multidisciplinary service offering. The role involves delivering hydrogeological input from study through to implementation with travel across the UK and beyond.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in hydrogeology, groundwater assessment and water management, ideally in mining.
• Postgraduate degree in Hydrogeology, Water Resources or related discipline.
• Working toward Chartered status or already Chartered with a recognised body.
• Experience supporting mining studies including PFS, FS, ESIA, Due Diligence and site investigations.
• GIS and digital mapping experience; strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide hydrogeological input to mining projects including PFS, FS, ESIA and site investigations.
• Support growth of mining-related opportunities across Cornwall and the South West.
• Manage project tasks, budgets and technical deliverables; mentor early-career staff.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders; contribute to innovation in mine water management.
