Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited is seeking a senior hydrogeologist to join our Water Management Consultancy groundwater resources team. You will work across our portfolio of groundwater projects, developing trusted client relationships and delivering high‑quality technical work in a collaborative environment.

The role covers data gathering, modelling, reporting and costing, with opportunities to lead projects and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in science, engineering or mathematics and a post‑graduate qualification in hydrogeology or related subject.
• Chartered through a relevant professional body.
• Experience as a hydrogeologist in consultancy, water company, regulator or academic fields.
• Good understanding of UK hydrogeology and the regulatory framework.
• Experience leading project tasks and possibly entire projects.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, report-writing and presentation skills.
• Valid full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Work with hydrogeologist leads and other disciplines to win, deliver and manage groundwater projects.
• Develop trusted client relationships and ensure high standards of performance.
• Undertake data gathering/processing, calculations and modelling, conceptualisation, reporting, costing and proposals.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with other teams across the Water Management Consultancy.
