Job summary
Mott MacDonald is seeking a highly capable Senior Hydrogeologist to join our Water Consultancy Division. You will support UK and international clients on groundwater, modelling, and environmental assessments, delivering impactful solutions.
You will work within a large groundwater team, contributing to bids, data analyses, and high-quality reporting while developing management and client engagement skills in a flexible, hybrid environment.
Qualifications
- Degree-level qualification in hydrogeology, geology, environmental science, mathematics or related discipline.
- Strong communication and written skills.
- Well organised with ability to prioritise workload and mentor juniors.
- Logical and pragmatic problem solving with attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior technical advice across groundwater topics including modelling, quality, WFD, hydrogeology and risk assessments.
- Contribute to bid and proposal writing across water resources and engineering sectors.
- Analyse data using tools such as MODFLOW, ArcGIS, QGIS, Python, and Excel.
- Produce high quality reports for clients.
