Job summary

Brightsmith is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to scale hydrogen technology from R&D to industrial, containerised modules. You will own the overall system architecture, uniting process, mechanical, electrical, controls and safety into an integrated solution.

You will lead multi-disciplinary design work, engage with EPCs and project teams, and help drive the deployment of first-of-a-kind technology from pilot to commercial scale in a dynamic clean-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Strong practical process-engineering capability including design and calculations.
• Experience with PFDs, P&IDs and process calculations.
• Exposure to HAZOPs, risk assessments or safety-case development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the systems engineering and integration of containerised hydrogen modules.
• Define the overall architecture across process, mechanical, electrical, controls and safety.
• Produce and review PFDs, P&IDs, and design documentation.
• Contribute to HAZOPs and hazard assessments.
• Manage technical trade-offs around safety, performance and operability.
• Support scale-up from pilot to commercial deployment.
• Collaborate with modelling, process and engineering specialists.
• Interface with EPCs, construction partners, clients and project teams.
• Support installation, commissioning and site problem solving.
