Job summary

DFM Resourcing is seeking a hands-on Senior Test Engineer to join a Telford-based team, focusing on hydraulic testing and integration with mechanical, electrical and control systems. The role involves planning tests, writing procedures and leading acceptance testing across complete machines and sub-systems.

You will work closely with project delivery and multidisciplinary teams, coordinating testing, diagnosing faults and supporting offshore and on-board vessel testing as required.

Qualifications

• 10 years in a similar role with extensive hydraulic testing, setting-to-work and fault-finding experience.
• Offshore equipment experience, interpreting DNV, LR, ABS and BV code requirements for testing and acceptance.
• Experience in lifting, cranes, industrial and structural engineering, resolving mechanical, hydraulic and electrical/control interface issues.

Responsibilities

• Write test plans, procedures and specifications; agree methods and recording requirements with engineers.
• Coordinate testing with project delivery and arrange equipment, resources and specialist support.
• Carry out hydraulic flushing, cleanliness checks, pressure and leak testing to approved procedures.
