Job summary

AVEVA seeks an IT Infrastructure Solutions Architect to lead architecture and design of hybrid infrastructure platforms in Cambridge/London. You will define reference architectures, govern infrastructure programmes, and mentor engineers, balancing on-premises data centers with Azure and AWS.

The role requires hands-on delivery and strategic influence in a global enterprise. Hybrid work with on-site collaboration, security-by-design mindset, and deep expertise in VMware/VCF, Horizon/Workspace

Qualifications

12+ years in infrastructure/platform engineering with architecture ownership.
Hands-on virtualization/private cloud delivery experience.
Experience with enterprise-scale Horizon/Workspace ONE/RDS deployments.
Strong storage expertise: SAN, VSAN, NAS, iSCSI; data protection and DR.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain reference architectures for VMware VCF 9.0 and lifecycle patterns.
Define observability strategy and telemetry standards; ensure adoption.
Lead design and implementation for major infrastructure programs and migrations.
Mentor engineers; govern automation and configuration management.
Act as escalation point for cross-domain incidents and post-incident reviews.
