Job summary

David Leslie Ltd, a South London mechanical building services contractor, seeks a Service & Maintenance Manager to establish and lead a new HVAC department. You will own service delivery, manage customer relationships and drive profitability, reporting to the Managing Director.

With 5+ years in HVAC service/maintenance, you will coordinate engineers, manage budgets and develop robust maintenance processes, ensuring high standards and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in service and maintenance management.
• HVAC equipment knowledge (AC, boilers, chillers, heat pumps).
• Experience leading engineers and coordinating workloads.
• Experience with maintenance contracts and profitability.
• UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Establish departmental processes for scheduling, reporting and service delivery.
• Plan and manage PPM against contracts.
• Coordinate reactive maintenance and emergency call-outs.
• Plan engineers' workloads and provide technical support.
• Oversee service reports, asset registers and documentation.
• Manage budgets, quotations and supplier arrangements.
• Build customer relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Monitor revenue and profitability, report risks to MD.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain H&S standards.
