Job summary

Buy It Direct in Huddersfield (HD2 1UA) is seeking a Lead Air Conditioning Engineer to develop our installation team, resolve complex technical issues and drive product improvements across our own-brand range.

You’ll stay hands-on with installations and repairs, mentor junior engineers, and shape training standards while travelling across the UK for more complex jobs, with occasional overnight stays and a competitive salary up to £60,000 plus up to £10,000 annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience installing, commissioning, diagnosing and repairing air conditioning systems.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification is required.
• Experience with equipment from different manufacturers.
• Electrical competence relevant to HVAC installations.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor junior installers and set installation quality standards.
• Install, commission, diagnose and repair air conditioning systems.
• Troubleshoot heat pumps and locate faults for remote guidance.
• Investigate faults with buyers and quality team to improve products.
