Job summary

Thatcher Associates in Hampshire is seeking a Lead Air Conditioning Engineer (Installation) to oversee on-site split, multi-split and VRF/VRV projects, reading drawings, surveying sites, installing and commissioning systems, and handing them over to clients while guiding junior engineers and labour on site. This installation-led role involves travel across the UK (and occasional overseas work).

You should have NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, F-Gas Cat I, and supervisory

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is required.
• F-Gas Category I certification is required.
• At least three years of experience with split, multi-split and VRF/VRV installations.

Responsibilities

• Lead air conditioning installations from drawings to handover on site.
• Survey sites, install and commission split, multi-split and VRF/VRV systems.
• Guide junior engineers and labour on site during installation-led projects.
• Provide on-site supervision and ensure quality handover to clients.

Up to £44,000 · van and fuel card · door to door travel and overtime paid

Ready to step up from engineer to lead? Would you like to run installations from drawings to handover, with your own team on site? Happy to travel across the UK, and overseas now and then?

You would lead air conditioning installations for an established building services contractor based in Hampshire. That means reading drawings and specifications, surveying sites, installing and commissioning split, multi-split and VRF or VRV systems, and handing them over, while guiding the junior engineers and labour on your sites. This is installation-led work, not a service round.

You'll need

• NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
• F-Gas Category I
• At least three years since qualifying, on split, multi-split and VRF or VRV installations
• Some supervisory experience, and a full UK driving licence
• Willingness to work across the UK and abroad, and to obtain SC clearance
