Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Lead HVAC Engineer in Wembley to deliver both planned and reactive FM maintenance for a major UK contractor. You will lead a small team, ensure safety standards, and keep accurate HVAC documentation.

The role requires strong HVAC, electrical and mechanical knowledge, BMS experience, and the ability to manage resources and respond to issues quickly. 40-hour weeks with overtime are typical.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in plumbing, refrigeration and air conditioning is required.
• F Gas Regulations knowledge is desirable.
• Experience with building service electrical/mechanical installations and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage 3 reports including HR and operations activities.
• Ensure engineering standards comply with HASAWA requirements.
• Maintain QA records for HVAC plant and documentation.
• Apply knowledge of BMS and control systems for fault diagnosis.
• Supervise the team, conduct safety briefings and timesheet approvals.
• Lead repairs to HVAC plant, pipework and related systems.
• Oversee pump repairs and seal replacements.
• Respond to helpdesk reactive maintenance promptly.
• Plan staff training for development.
• 40-hour week with 8am–5pm + overtime
